Purpose: Statistics on the characteristics of Chinese and Korean medicines for stroke,providing the basis for clinical treatment and medication.Methods: First,collect a large number of Chinese and Korean literatures on stroke from 2012 to 2017.After obsolescence of documents that do not meet the standards,formulate complete traditional Chinese medicine formulas in the standards-compliant literature and use them.Data establish a database of Chinese medicine prescriptions.After that,based on this database,Excel software was used to count the frequency of medication use for Chinese medicine prescriptions,and then the statistics were compiled and supplemented by descriptions and theoretical studies.Result:In the Chinese literature,the top 10 most frequently used drugs for the treatment of apoplexy were: Angelica,Dilong,Chuanxiong,Radix Astragali,Shichangpu,Taoren,Biannanxing,Safflower,Licorice,and Poria.In the Korean literature,the top 10 most frequently used drugs for the treatment of apoplexy were: Angelica,Astragalus,Rhizoma Chuanxiong,Earthworm,Shichangpu,Taoren,Dannan,Licorice,Honghua,and Pinellia.A wide range of medications for stroke,a total of 17 types of drugs involved,the main drugs are: blood circulation drugs,PingganXifeng medicine,tonic medicine,phlegm and cough medicine,heat-clearing medicine,etc.,are commonly used medicines for the treatment of apoplexy.Through cluster analysis,5 clusters and 12 common drug pairs consisting of closely related drugs were obtained.Conclusion: 1?There is no significant difference in Chinese and Korean medicines for the treatment of apoplexy;2? South Korea has more tonic drugs than China in the treatment of stroke.
