Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge is a plant of Sapindaceae which belongs to deciduous shrubs or small trees. It is a relatively precious oil wood crop in China and can be used for food, medicine, greening and biofuels. The husks, seeds, branches and leaves of xanthoceras sorbifolium Bunge contain a variety of biologically active ingredients, such as flavonoids, sterols, terpenoids and coumarins.By reviewing and analyzing the existing literature,it can be concluded that xanthoceras sorbifolium Bunge has pharmacological activities such as antiinflammatory and antitumor, inhibiting the growth of HIV protease, and promoting the growth of NGF-mediated nerve protrusion.Related research shows that a zitonolane type?OTS?triterpenoid saponin has strong anticancer activity and the function of activating brain cells and strengthening learning memory. In this paper, the extraction and purification of total saponins and the chemical constituents and biological activities of the Husk of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge were studied which was produced from Jingtai,Gansu Province. The ultrasonic-assisted extraction and orthogonal experiments were used to optimize the extraction process of total saponins. The results showed that under the optimal extraction conditions, the total saponin extraction rate was 2.1%.The purified saponin content of Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge was 72%.Using modern chromatographic separation technology?silicagel column chromatography,MCI column chromatography, polyamide column chromatography?and spectrum analysis technology?EI-MS,IR,UV,NMR.?,16 compounds were isolated. All of them were identified as:?1?,Tyrosol?2?1-oxa-2-azaspiro[4.5]dec-2-ene-8?-ol?3?,?-sitosterol?4?,Vanillin?5?,Protocatechuic acid methyl ester?6?,3-o-[?-D-galactopyranosyl?1?2?]-?-L-Arabinofuran osyl?1?3?-?-D-glucuronopyranosyl-3?,15?,16?,21?,22?,28-hexahydroxyoleam-12-ene?7??3-o-?-D-glucopyranosyl-?1?2?-?-D-glucuronopyranosyl-22-o-angeloyl-A1-barrigenol?8?,28-o-?-D-Glucopyranosyl 21-o-angeloyl-R1-barrigenol?9?,quercetin?10?,quercetin-3-o-Rutinoside?11?,catechin?12?,epicatechin?13?,quercetin-3-o-?4''-methoxy?-?-L-rhamnopyranoside?14?,stigmasterol?15?,bis?2-ethyloctyl?phthalate?16?.Compounds 7 and 16 were isolated from the husk of the Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge for the first time. The ADA inhibitory activity of some isolated compounds was explored, and the results showed that:?1?,?6?,?7?,?10?,?11?,?13?,?14?at a concentration of 1 mg/mL,the inhibition rates of ADA were:55.7%,89.6%,0%,90.9%,66.6%,34.1%,38.4%,respectively.The anti-tumor activity of the isolated saponin compounds was investigated. The results showed that the inhibition rates of compounds?7?and?9?on HepG2 cells at a concentration of 50?g/mL were89.5%and 85.0%,respectively.
