Study On The Mental Status In Elderly Patients With Coronary Heart Disease Plus Multimorbidity

Objective: The prevalence of mental disorders in elderly patients with coronary heart disease increased.Because of higher risk of CHD,the study aimed to improve the understanding of its psychological status and importance,for providing new diagnosis and treatment methods in the view of mental aspect in the future,so as to improve effect of diagnosis and treatment,the quality of life and to reduce medical expenditure.Methods: The individuals of 237,including inpatients and healthy seniors accepting health checkups from February 1,2017 to January 31,2018,enrolled in study were conducted.All participants were divided into three parts.1)CHD plus 1+morbidity(n=193).2)CHD without any multimorbidity(n=24),3)healthy group(n=20).All subjective completed the Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90)and WHOQOL-BREF.We assessed mental status of patients of CHD plus multimorbidity according to the score of SCL-90 in 9 dimensions and estimated the quality of life by the views of WHOQOL-BREF in 4 dominans.Results: Compared to patients of CHD without any multimorbidity and healthy controls,those with CHD plus multimorbidity had higher score of SCL-90 in all dimensions(Somatization(P=0.007),Obsessive-compulsive(P=0.001),Interpersonal sensitivity(P=0.041),Depression(P<0.001),Anxiety(P=0.001),Hostility(P=0.001),Phobic Anxiety(P=0.008),Paranoid ideation(P=0.028),psychoticism(P=0.007))and lower points in 3 domians of WHOQOL-BREF(RHYSP<0.001),PSYCH(P<0.001),SOCIL(P=0.001)apart from ENVIR(P=0.085).Conclusions: Comparaed to patients of CHD with any multimorbidity,the risk of mental disorders of old adults with CHD plus multimorbidity was higher and quality of life was poorer,which should been payed more attention in medicine practice.
