Clinic Analysis And Literature Review Of Rare Tophus Of Head And Neck

Objective:To explore the distribution,clinical characteristics,diagnosis and treatment of rare tophus of head and neck,so as to provide evidence or experience for clinicians in the diagnosis and treatment of such diseases and reduce clinical misdiagnosis.Methods:This paper detailed report in our department of the clinical data of 2patients with head and neck rare tophus,including basic information,clinical manifestations,imaging data,laboratory examination,diagnosis and treatment,follow-up and other detailed information,and collect the case report about head and neck rare tophus from the Chinese journal full text database(CNKI)、WanFang Data and the foreign journal full text database(Pubmed)to make case analysis and literature review.Results:1.In rare tophus of head and neck,the external nose is relatively vulnerable to invasion.The incidence of such disease is significantly higher among men than among women(6.25:1),and at the same time it is more common in elderly patients and postmenopausal women.2.Among the 29 patients,1 did not disclose past history,and among the remaining 28 patients,71.4% had a clear history of gout and 28.6% had no previous history of gout.3.The clinical manifestations of patients with rare tophus of head and neck are often clinical manifested as changing in appearance or otolaryngological organic function and lack of specific symptoms of gout.Conclusion:1.The clinical manifestations of rare tophus in the head and neck lack specificity,and the external nose is more vulnerable to invasion than other parts.The age,gender and previous history of gout all have important clinical value in the course of diagnosis2.The rare tophus of head and neck can be the only manifestation of gout,which is concentrated in patients with middle ear tophus,and the specific causes need to be further studied.3.Improving the experience of otolaryngologist in the diagnosis and treatment of rare tophus of head and neck can reduce misdiagnosis,while is helpful for early diagnosis and provide comprehensive treatment.For the tophus that seriously affects the hearing,breathing,or pronunciation of patients,early surgical treatment is feasible,strengthen the perioperative management of gout patients,and achieve the optimal treatment benefits.
