Lepidii semen is the dried ripe seeds of Lepidium apetalum Willd.Descurainiae semen is the dried ripe seeds of Descurainia Sophia(L.)Webb.ex Prantl.Lepidii semen and Descurainiae semen also named Tinglizi.Raphani semen is the dried ripe seeds of Raphanus sativus L.Sinapis semen is the dried ripe seeds of Sinapis alba L or the dried ripe seeds of Brassica juncea(L.)Czern.et Coss.They are all collected in the Ch P2015.as cruciferous seeds.However,in the Ch P2015,.the indicators of these three traditional Chinese medicines are single,not specific,and not perfect in the TLC identification methods,Besides,there is no TLC identification method for Lepidii semen in Ch P2015..In this study,according to the TLC behavior of these three traditional Chinese medicines,the specific spots of each seed were found,separated and identificated.On this basis,the appropriate specific components were selected as the indicators of each seed to establish and improve the existing quality standards of Lepidii semen,Descurainiae semen,Raphani semen and Sinapis semen.1 Separation of the specific components of Lepidii semen,Descurainiae semen,Raphani semen and Sinapis semen.Seven specific spots were found by HPTLC,which can reveal chemical characterization among these seeds.And then these seven spots were separated by Sephadex LH-20,thin layer preparation,liquid phase preparation and identified by spectroscopy techniques,such as 1D NMR and 2D NMR.The result is as follows:quercetin-3-O-[2-O-(6-O-E-sinapoyl)-?-D-glucopymosyl]-?-D-glucopyranoside(Lep--idii semen specific component),quercetin3-O-?-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1?2)-?-L-a r-abinopyranoside(Descurainiae semen specific component),drabanemoroside(Descurainiae semen specific component),quercetin-3-O-?-D-glucopyranoside(Tinglizi specific component),isorhamnetin-3-O-?-D-glucopyranoside(Tinglizi specific component),3',6-Disinapoylsucrose(Raphani semen specific component),4-Hydroxybenzoylcholine(Baijiezi specific component),TLC behaviors show that sinapine thiocyanate is a common component of these seeds.2 Study on the improvement of standards for Lepidii semen,Descurainiae semen,Raphani semen and Sinapis semen.Based on the study of previous chapter,combined with literature research,quercetin-3-O-[2-O-(6-O-E-sinapoyl)-?-D-glucopymosyl]-?-D-glucopyranoside(Lepi-dii semen specific component),quercetin3-O-?-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1?2)-?-L-arabinopyranoside(Descurainiae semen specific component),and sinapine thiocy-anat were selected as the indicators of Tinglizi to establish the TLC identification method.3',6-Disinapoylsucrose and sinapine thiocyanate were selected as the indicators of Raphani semen to establish the TLC identification method.And4-Hydroxybenzoylcholine(Baijiezi specific component)and sinapine thiocyanate were selected as the indicators of Sinapis semen to establish the TLC identification method.And the eight characteristic components identified in the first chapter were selected to establish TLC identification method for cruciferous seeds such as Lepidii semen,Descurainiae semen,Raphani semen and Sinapis semen.
