Objective:Through the new community hypertension management model, the patients withhypertension were treated with auricular point therapy with Chinese characteristics, and the improvement of clinical efficacy with western medicine alone was observed,so as to improve new ideas for the prevention and treatment of hypertension. Methods:With some communities in Shanghai, including Fenglin,Tianlin,Tianping,Kangjian and Huajing Street Community Health Service Center,a three-level hospital-community-patient linkage model was established.A total of 558 cases were collected and divided into control group(254 cases)and treatment group(304cases).The control group was treated with western medicine only, while the treatment group was treated with auricular point therapy while taking western medicine.A course of treatment lasts for four weeks, during which more than one week can be rested,a total of six courses of treatment.According to the improvement of blood pressure and the remission degree of clinical syndromes after each course of treatment, the clinical efficacy of auricular acupoint therapy on hypotension was evaluated.Results:1.There was a correlation between BMI and different syndromes in essential hypertension subjects(P<0.05).The highest BMI of phlegm-dampness congestion type was 24.84+3.13Kg/m~2.2.There was no statistical significance between the duration of essential hypertension and syndrome types(P>0.05).3.There was a correlation between the constitution of subjects with essential hypertension and TCM syndromes(P<0.05).Among them, the hyperactivity of liver-fire is mostly characterized by qi stagnation and Yin deficiency;the hyperactivity of phlegm-dampness is mostly characterized by phlegm-dampness and damp-heat;Yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity are mostly characterized by Yin deficiency;yin-yang deficiency is mostly characterized by Yang deficiency and Yin deficiency.4.The decrease of blood pressure in auricular acupoint treatment group was significantly better than that in western medicine control group(P<0.01).5.There was no significant difference in antihypertensive effect between different TCM syndromes in auricular acupoint treatment group(P>0.05).6.Auricular acupoints supplemented with seasonal auricular acupoints in spring, summer and long summer for hypertensive patients with phlegm-dampness congestion and yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity play an auxiliary role in lowering blood pressure(P<0.05).7.The effect of auricular acupoint therapy on the improvement of main and secondary symptoms of TCM was significantly better than that of Western medicine alone (P<0.05),with vertigo, headache, insomnia, constipation, amnesia, dry mouth, lumbar acid, bitter mouth, nocturia being the best(P<0.01),followed by fever, chest tightness,red-feet and shortness of breath(P<0.05).Conclusion:There is a certain correlation between TCM syndrome types of essential hypertension,BMI index and TCM constitution.Auricular acupoint therapy combined with western medicine has been proved to have obvious advantages not only in antihypertensive effect, but also in improving TCM syndromes. The results further validate the efficacy of auricular acupoint-assisted hypotension, and provide a new diagnostic and therapeutic means for the prevention and treatment of hypertension in the future.
