Purpose: This study uses two methods of investigation of clinical syndromes Retrospect and prospect on study of TCM syndromes of hypertension, more conducive to illustrate characteristics of distribution of TCM syndromes of hypertension, lay the Foundation for the prevention and treatment of hypertension by traditional Chinese medicine.Methods:This study uses retrospective and prospective study research, Changchun University of Chinese Medicine Hospital in March 2005~ December 2010 diagnosis of 300 hospitalized patients with essential hypertension as the research object. Clinical cases through the development of the questionnaire (see table), the relevant clinical data on patients collected. Final statistics using SPSS 13 statistical analysis software, on the classification of TCM syndromes of hypertension take cluster analysis, related factors on the effect of distribution of TCM syndromes of hypertension using logistic regression analysis.Results:The results of Survey show that: The most common symptoms of hypertension are dizziness , fatigue, dry mouth, shortness of breath, cyanosis of lips, headache, five upset hot , backache , insomnia, soft knee, head , such as wrap , etc.; Most common tongue to tongue point or ecchymosis, dark, tongue and stasis tongue of fat or less moss, moss, mossthin greasy gross tortuosity, tongue end of collaterals;The most common pulse for: string slide, pulse, pulse-pulse fine.Common TCM syndromes of hypertension to: Qi-Yin deficiency and phlegm stagnation of collaterals, the deficiency of liver and renal deficiency and phlegm stagnation of collaterals, Yin deficiency and Yang hyperactivity and deficiency of liver-fire ascending syndrome kangsheng, Yin and Yang. Age, risk rating for the course, smoking, alcohol consumption, blood pressure and coronary heart disease, diabetes, cerebrovascular disease, Dyslipidemia on distribution of TCM syndromes of hypertension has a certain impact.Conclusions:With age and period of growth, gradually of TCM syndromes of hypertension by the real go virtual, and smoking, alcohol consumption, risk classification of blood pressure and coronary heart disease, diabetes, cerebrovascular disease, Dyslipidemia on distribution of TCM syndromes of hypertension has a certain impact. Tips on the treatment of hypertension, while control of blood pressure, also emphasized the control of hypertension risk factors, attention of target organ protection, which is consistent with ideological concept and treatment based on syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine. This study also revealed some regularity of TCM syndromes in patients with essential hypertension, blood stasis and phlegm in hypertension is important not to be neglected in the development of the syndrome factors, phlegm and blood stasis v collateral is important pathogenesis of essential hypertension. Through the present research results to help guide clinical better grasp well the syndromes transforming rules, based on different patients, make reasonable treatment programmes, on the importance of prevention and treatment of hypertension.
