Procrastination is not only a kind of bad behavioral habit and poor time arrangement but also a conflict between a series of cognitive, emotion and roles in addition to the delay action.Besides that, procrastination is a kind of mental state which refers to the depression or discomfort behavior because of some individual unnecessary reason leading to delaying completing the task. The opposite of procrastination is self-efficacy that means people's judgment about their ability to succeed in doing something as well as the reflection of people's assessing the situation whether they can achieve some expected results or not.under the guidance of the positive psychology theory, this paper goes on a research to explore the relationship between the procrastination, learning engagement and self-efficacy of undergraduates so as to provide some effective parameters about how to get a good self-management,and then put forward corresponding strategies and advices about the positive mental health education. The topic is analyzed and discussed in this thesis by the study of literature and previous research achievements,With the questionnaire survey of more than 500 undergraduates in Xi'an,the SPSS statistic analysis,AMOS structural modeling and discussion,it draws four conclusions:(1)The factors of learning engagement(vigor, dedication and concentration)will produce more positive impacts on the learning efficiency including four variables(learning achievement, learning attitude, learning ability and interpersonal facilitation).Especially, the vigor and dedication factor plays a much more important role.(2)The factors of procrastination motivation(expectation value and time)will also produce some impacts on the learning efficiency including four variables(learning achievement, learning attitude, learning ability and interpersonal facilitation): the higher people expect, the fewer procrastination behaviors will happen, the better their learning efficiency will be.But the other two factors value and time, however, can reduce the learning efficiency.(3)The procrastination motivation will have significant negative effects on the learning engagement and learning efficiency, however,a significant positive one could be get throughself-efficacy.(4)According to conclusions mentioned above,it is suggested that undergraduates strengthen the self-monitoring and timely adjust learning strategies to correct procrastination through self psychological intervention. Some shortcomings existed in this study, and much more further explorations are still necessary in later work.
