An Analysis Of Positive Psychology In Change And Development

In recent two decades,the positive psychology has gained attention from people all over the world as its unique perspective in psychological research.The main topic of positive psychology is termed "one center and three supporting points." "One center"refers to the exploration of subjective well-being;and "three supporting points"represent the research on individual positive experience,positive personality,and positive management system for social organization.Although flourishing developed,positive psychology still encounters many difficulties and challenges with the tough social reality.In recent years,scholars from different countries are trying constantly to break through the bottleneck which hinders the development of positive psychology.Focusing on four research topics—virtue,significance,resilience and happiness—the researchers try to build the foundation of research in the new era,and promote the sustainable development and innovation of positive psychology.In China,considering cultural background as an important factor is the main trend of studies in positive psychology.The present study aimed to discuss the recent development and the new trends of positive psychology in following aspects:First,we summarizes the development status and important academic achievements in positive psychological research both in China and elsewhere.After the development over twenty years,positive psychology has been considered as a comparable mature discipline.The scholars have proposed numerous theories and conducted plenty of empirical studies in the field of positive psychology.Summarizing and combing the main research progress in positive psychology both at home and abroad has important academic significance for further seeking the new mechanism for its prosperity.Second,we review the recent hot issues in the main field of positive psychology of reformation and development.The focus of positive psychology has transformed from"only concerning the positive side of human and completely rejecting the negative side"to "trying to achieve a dialectical balance between the positive side and the negative side",the latter is considered to be the key point for human's happiness.From being regarded as a subject that "only explores the happiness of human" to a new discipline that "absorbs the cognition,emotion,positive personality and other aspects into research".Analyzing and summarizing the research progress in these important fields are of great theoretical and practical significance to promote the in-depth development of positive psychology.Last but not the least,the present study discusses the important theoretical and practical issues in the research of positive psychology under the background of the new era.At present,an important trend in the development of positive psychology is transforming its development direction from theoretical research to practical application.However,how to achieve this transformation needs to find new breakthroughs in theoretical and practical application.Positive psychology in change and development faces many problems naturally.At present,the scientization of positive psychology all over the world still needs to be explored and discovered constantly.From this perspective,the emergence of a new trend in positive psychology represented by 2.0 era is remarkable.As a new trend of positive psychology was presented in the United States,the researchers is not satisfied with the current situation.They keep innovating and moving forward,and continue to find creative ways to construct new positive psychology theories and techniques with a more inclusive and open attitude,which is worth learning for Chinese scholars.The general direction of positive psychology is correct,when people's material life is greatly enriched,but spiritual pursuit is increasingly depressed,positive psychology has its undeniable advantages.The 2.0 era of positive psychology stands the mission and responsibility of the new era and has a good development prospect.
