The existence of aesthetic modernity is a kind of social modernity "other",is the reflection and criticism to process of social modernization which is the dissimilation such as expansion of material desires,decline of moral ethics and loss of human divinity poetic alienation.The revelation and criticism of.Guan Hu film has never been away from the "people" theme,showing characteristics of aesthetic modernity in many aspects,such as playful image language,populist documentary style,critical appeal of anti-utilitarianism and so on.These features are not only reflected through individual and multivariate images,but also integrated into theme of Guan Hu film.In a work of art,the aesthetic modernity in Guan Hu film mainly presented as personalized narration,hybrid image style and teasing language.The exquisite narrative arrangement and vivid expression of the images have created a wonderful story in Guan Hu film and carried a profound meaning of aesthetic modernity.In a work of theme,through communion of three kinds of consciousness which were analysis of focusing subject consciousness of self-awareness,exploring life consciousness of life and resisting reflective consciousness of instrumental reason,Guan Hu film expresses the reflection of ordinary people's living states and value of individual and life itself,contains internal meaning of the theses of saving alienated human nature by aesthetic modernity,reflection of instrumental reason and perceptual power of advocacy and promotion.Cultural appeal of Guan Hu film begins with criticism and salvation,mainly for the expression of human nature,the critical attitude toward restrained,the saved ending behind the cruel and the modern transformation of the traditional culture.Guan Hu film judges the humanity up to the level of human's universality gradually from initial restlessness to mature and restrained,it gives the hope for being saved while revealing the cruel realities,and it also has a certain modern transformation to Chinese traditional culture.At the same time,it is pointed out that the obstruction of traditional culture,the conflict between the image style and the internal,is the main cause of the inadequate expression of aesthetic modernity in Guan Hu film.
