Jafar Panahi is the representative of the third generation director of the new film in Iran.He changed his film style from Italy new realism to experimental film,creating a unique narrative form and spatial structure.He reconsidered the authenticity of the image,and guarded women's rights and the freedom of the personal creation.However,at present,there are little studies on Jafar Panahi in China.The existing researches are not comprehensive though.Moreover,owing to the present researches on the Iran film and Jafar Panahi are prefer to focus on the Italy new realism aesthetics,they are less concerned about the subjective and form experiment of these films.They cannot reveal the true cultural connotation and aesthetic value behind them,either.Therefore,this paper uses the perspective of modern aesthetic,doing the following researches:firstly,to re-examine the new realism and realistic image in those films of Jafar Panahi,and demonstrated the change from the "representation of aesthetics" to "aesthetic" of him.Then,to staudy on the formal experiment on the narrative and space structure of his films,and to study on the pursuit of independent film art of him.Finally,to discuss the rebellion and the reflexivity in his films.Iran is currently a theocratic state,of which all aspects of society are under the control of Sharia law,conflicting with the modernization of the whole world.However,as a pioneer filmmaker of Iran,Jafar Panahi reach the modernity in the culture and spirit through the modernization of film aesthetics.
