The Study Of Confucius And His Disciples In Kongzi Jiayu

Kongzi Jiayu is an important work of Confucianism.Confucius and his disciples described in Kongzi Jiayu may not be closer to the historical truth than described in the Analects of Confucius,but are rich in literary colors.Combined with the background and spread of Kongzi Jiayu,it with a quite sublime figure of Confucius it set up,without any distortion,and the individualities of some Confucian disciples foregrounded.The plots and details of corresponding stories are complete and abundant,while the material information about Confucius and his disciples are relatively all-round.In this four-chaptered dissertation,Confucius and his disciples were studied according to Kongzi Jiayu,focusing in analyzing the images which were close to the historical truth,emphasizing the comparison analysis of the image differences existed according to the Analects of Confucius and other works,and exploring the value within.In the first chapter,the creation process and nature of Kongzi Jiayu were analyzed according to the postface of the book,with the authenticity of it conformed.The timing of the materials' origination and the background and intention of the book were also defined.In the second chapter,Confucius was discussed in details derived from the contents of Kongzi Jiayu.The figure of Confucius was narrated from the angles of scholar,Confucian,mentor,as well as politician.Combined with other literature emphatically analyzed the present of Confucius from Jiayu to usIn the third chapter,several relatively important disciples of Confucius were enumerated to be discussed in Kongzi Jiayu.Analyzed Yan Hui,Zi Lu,Zi Gong whose involves many contents of Jiayu.And summarize the Other disciples of Confucius' personality in Jiayu.In the fourth chapter,the differences in characterization and stories of Confucius and his disciples from Kongzi Jiayu and other literatures were compared and analyzed.The emphases were laid on the phenomenon of the sanctification of Confucius and some contents of deliberately highlighting the figures of the disciples.And the reasons of these phenomena was dissected.Confucius and his disciples in Kongzi Jiayu are rich in connotations,with interesting stories,complete dialogues and causes of events in the reasoning sections,and vivid characteristics of individuals.Analyzed together with comparisons with other literatures,the value within Kongzi Jiayu were worth deep studying.
