The Study Of Waistbands Series Unearthed In Xirong Nationality Cemetery At The Eastern Zhou Dynasty In Gansu And Ningxia Area

Xirong Nationality Cemetery founded in Gansu and Ningxia Area has two central district:Tianshui and Guyuan area.The Waistbands Series unearthed included belthook,buckle,loop,Animal Figures and so on.These waistbands were rich in type.Their shape undered the influence of the Central Plains Culture.Their decoration included not only meandering pattern popular in Central Plains,but also zoomorphic design prevalent in the Northern Grassland Culture.From the point of craft,there were forge,foundry,inlay technology in the gold,the bronze was to be gilt with tin.In absorption of bronze smelted technology,gold and silver craft in Central Plains,at tht same time learned bronze culture from Northern Grassland,glass manufacturing technology from Western Culture.Via the statistics of waistbands such as hook,buckle,loop,animal figure in Majiayuan Warrior Cemetery,Qingshui Liuping Site,Guyuan Yanglang Bronze Culture Cemetery,the two area both have hook shaped like balloon mandolin,stick and animal figure.They were made of bronze and gold.The buckle all made of bronse,they have square type,circular type,animal type and so on.The loop also unearthed beside the buckle,they both have interlacing wave pattern.At the craft,they were inlayed with tin.Animal Figure was not only artificial in the surface,but also useful.They had relationship with Northern Grassed Culture,Eurasia culture such as Scythai Area.The feature of Waistband Series in Xirong Area was generated by the location among The Central Plains and The Northern Grassed Culture.At the Eastern Zhou Dynasty,this area have familiar association with Qin Culture and Erduosi Area in Mausoleum structure and unearthed relics.At the same time,it also reflects the conflicts of farming culture and the nomadic culture communication.
