Murong of Xianbei ethnicity established Former Yan,Later Yan,Western Yan and Southern Yan during the era of Sixteen Kingdoms in China.Feng Ba,a Han Chinese who absorbed culture of Xianbei,established Northern Yan on basis of Later Yan.Five Yan regimes have gone through one hundred and fifty years and it rose from northeast,conquered the Central Plain and finally collapsed in northeast.Five Yan regimes had contributions to ethnic fusion of the North and had impact of Chinese political,economic and culture development.When we look back history of Five Yan regies and chinesization process of Xianbei ethnic,Han nationality literatus would be of enormous significance in the whole process and had opportunity to be trusted and recognized.Compared with other minority of Wu hu(the Five Barbarians)and Sixteen Kingdoms,Han nationality literatus who were in office in Yan regime of Murong had higher position and more equal cooperative relations.Nobility of Xianbei ethnic gradually improved the level of Han culture because of Han culture was highly evaluated by Murong dynasties monarchs and the impact of Han nationality literatus.Many of Murong dynasties monarchs and noble families had literacy of Han culture,also their thought influenced by Confucianism.We can see that from their policy measures and behaviors.They still had independent thought although they were basis on Confucianism.Han literatus had a large numbers in Yan regime of Murong however regime is undergoing five shifts but amount of works of them didn't survive.But we can still find that Han literatus of Yan regime of Murong were erudite literatus from historical materials.They had influenced in currently political,economic and culture and even continued to Northern Wei.Literature of Yan regiem of Murong had a small amount of military literature but it covered an extensive range,had varieties of writing techniques and emotional connotation.Literary achievement of Murong weren't outstanding but literature was no less than other cotemporary regime.As scholar group of minority regime,literature creation had unique characteristics.Although Yan regiem of Murong is minority regime,it has higher degreechinesization and Murong regime are highly think of Han scholar made enormous influence for Murong regime's establishment and culture development.As a result literatus in Murong as well as their literature have great value to study.
