| This paper conducts a survey on the television art of our country under the basis of mass culture critical theory.From the perspective of Frankfurt school,freedom and transcendence are the characteristics that true art should possess and the meaning of freedom is the personality of a real artwork that can not be copied.The real art,of course,will make the spirit of transcendence and make us feel nervous.Recentlly,the ratings of-domestic court play was improved greatly by virtue of entertainment means to make audience get sensory stimulation and using modern technology and a variety of media.As the typical representative of mass culture,television drama presents too much commercialization and entertainment characteristics for us but lacks the value of artwork,simultaneously.Based on the perspective of mass culture,this paper takes "Zhenhuan Biography" as a typical case to discuss the harem style TV drama."Zhenhuan Biography" is a court play,where female is the protagonist,to show women’s growth experience,which focus on the lens in harem and shapes the women image that struggles for power in the patriarchal society.It is worthy of reflection that whether the typical court play of’Zhenhuan Biography"and even the high-yield time-travel TV series,spy dramas in recent years still have the artistic value in the drama itself?This paper believes that the court play,as a kind of popular art,is valuable in itself.The court play,however,has gone to the opposite of artistic expression and lost the interest in art with the current development of the domestic court play.Even worse,the court play has become a recreational culture tool to fool people and even a false art.This paper criticized the commercialization,pattern assimilation,weakening culture value and serious entertainment consumer awareness of court play and give constructive suggestions by combining television art theory with analysis method,literature research method and film analysis method. |
