Game And Identity:Nandian Tusi's National Identity Research Under The Frontier Crisis

NandianTusi is one of the "SanxuanLiuwei",the Tusi in the southwestern edge.Yuan dynasty set Nandian Tribal Command,and Nandian became the independent administrative district.Ming dynasty set NandianXuanfu department,and Qing dynasty followed Ming's system.In the era of the Republic of China,the "Tuliubingzhi" was implemented.After the establishment of the People's Republic of China,nationalities administrative committee in Lianghe was set up,as a result,NandianTusi ended.In the historical period,NandianTusi always played an important role in the southwest regions.The southwestern frontier crisishad made the great influence on the historical development and social change of NandianTusi.The paper uses NandianTusi as the case study,to discuss the measures of NandianTusi in the southwestern frontiercrisisas well as the changes of its relationship with the central government in that period,to further investigate the national identity of NandianTusi in the frontier crisis.The paper is divided into five parts:the first part is the overview of NandianTusi.The second part is about the beginning of NandianTusi's concept of national identity,that is the change from"the local tribal chief'to "the leader of border district",and the change from the initial attachment to the central feudal government to the emotionally attachment to the central government.The third part mainly discusses the further formation of NandianTusi's concept of national identity in the southwesternfrontier crisis.The fourth part discusses the change of NandianTusi's centripetal force of national identity in the various groups,the NandianTusi's concentric change—Inland-changing.
