The Mediation Role Of Empathy Between Abuse And Children's Pro-social Behavior

Childhood is the key to the individual physical and mental development period,child abuse will cause direct physical damage to the victim,serious life-threatening,even for children's emotional,social adaptation and a series of long-term impact function.In recent years,child abuse has drawn extensive attention by psychologists.The existing studies show that there are close relations among abuse,empathy and children's pro-social behavior.On the basis of searching references of child abuse,empathy and pro-social behavior,this paper discussed the relationship of the above three factors by choosing CTQ-SF,Interpersonal Reactivity Index-C and PTM as the measuring tool.Besides,it investigated the 600 of studets in Enshi to get the datas.By SPSS17.0 and Amos22.0 for statistical analysis,the conclusions are as follows:(1)In the sample,the incidence of child abuse is very high,high to low in turn is emotional,body ignore,emotional abuse and physical abuse,sexual abuse.Child abuse appeared significant differences in family economic conditions,parents educational level and family atmosphere,but in gender,whether the one-child,family location,nationality did not.(2)Empathy ability of primary and middle school students is in the average level.Empathy scores exist significant differences in sex and age,on whether the one-child,family location there is no significant difference.(3)On the whole,pro-social behavior of primary and middle school students is pretty good.There were significant differences in gender and ethnicity,and on whether the one-child,age,there is no significance.(4)Total scores of CTQ-SF questionnaire besides each dimension showed significantly negative correlation with views,imagination,and empathy concern,empathy,emotional abuse and individual sorrow was significantly positively.(5)Total scores of CTQ-SF questionnaire besides each dimension showed significantly negative correlation with altruism,compliance,mood,emergency and PTM questionnaire scores;Emotional neglect and open,anonymous has significant negative correlation.(6)In this study,in addition to empathy concern subscales and pro-social behavior dimension is not significantly related to the public,empathy.All subscales and the total score and pro-social behavior subscales and total score were significant positive correlation.(7)The empathy partly plays an intermediary role between abuse and children'spro-social behavior,effect of indirect and direct effect of the ratio of 2.
