Objective: To explore relative factors of child abuse and its impact on mental and behavior health, and to provide the theoretical foundation for the prevention of child abuse. Methods:â‘ The analysis of reliability and validity of the Chinese version of CTQ-SF: A survey was conducted among 2019 teenagers by the Chinese version of CTQ-SF and analyzes its reliability and validity.â‘¡1337 teenagers and their parents were surveyed by the Chinese version of CTQ-SF, Self-Esteem Scale, Youth Risk Behavior, Mental Health Test and Child Behavior Checklist. Analyze factors with single factors and multi-factors analysis and correlation analysis.Results:1. Reliability and validity of the Chinese version of CTQ-SFâ‘ Reliability check: The total Cronbach's alpha coefficient and split-half reliability of the Chinese version of CTQ-SF are higher than 0.70. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient and split-half reliability of each subscale are higher than 0.60 but physical neglect. The average correlations coefficients is 0.20, and average correlations coefficients of each subscale rang from 0.11 to 0.37;â‘¡Validity check: Content validity: The correlation between general scales and subscales rang from 0.54 to 0.80, it has significant correlation (P<0.01); Construct validity: The correlation coefficients between genera scales and subscales are more than the correlation coefficients between each subscale. The correlation coefficients between each subscale rang from 0.18 to 0.50. All of them has significant correlation(P<0.01). Scheme validity: Exploratory factor analysis select four-factor solution, accounting for 66.12% the variance. Factor communalities are higher than 0.40. Four-factors represent all of items.2. The relative factors of Child abuseâ‘ The results of single factors analysis indicated: Individual child-related factors are sex, attitude of study, result of study, whether or not has chronic illness, parents'expectation, the living source; The family-related factors include: parent's culture level, health status, smoking or gambling, couple relationship, parents history of being abused and experiences of harmful events, parent's type of marry, economic situation of family, numbers of children.â‘¡The results of general linear regression analysis: The total scores of CTQ-SF of male, be disgusted with learning, bad academic achievement, has chronic illness, parents'expectation was high, bad relationship of couple, parents who has the history of being abused and experiences of harmful events are higher than without.3. The impact on mental and behavior health of child abuseâ‘ The results of single factors analysis indicated: Teenagers are at higher risk of being abused have significantly higher score of MHT, lower score of SES and higher prevalence of smoking, drinking, Engaging in a physical fight, electric games, going away from home and suicide idea than Teenagers who are at lower risk of being abused (P<0.05).â‘¡The results of correlation analysis indicated: The results of Simple correlation analysis revealed: a positive relationship in scores between CTQ-SF and MHT and a negative relationship in scores between CTQ-SF and SES; The results of canonical correlation analysis revealed: A positive relationship in scores between emotional abuse and the disposition of impulsion and a negative relationship in scores between emotional abuse and SES; A positive relationship in scores between emotional abuse, emotional neglect and the disposition of loneliness and a negative relationship in scores between emotional abuse, emotional neglect and the disposition of irritabilityConclusion: The Chinese version of CTQ-SF is a good psychometric instrument for the evaluation of Chinese childhood abuse. But the physical neglect requires a further improvement. There are several factors which influence Child abuse. Factors that increase a child's vulnerability for abuse are males, be disgusted with learning, bad academic achievement, has chronic illness, parents'expectation was high, bad relationship of couple, parents who has the history of being abused and experiences of harmful events. Teenagers who were at higher risk of being abused had significantly lower level of esteem and higher degree of anxiety, and higher prevalence of health risk behavior.
