The leader of the British cultural studies Raymond Williams and the famous French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu have the similar background and share the common principle of "integrity" and "relationship" in their outstanding theories.Williams uses the principle of "integrity" and "relationship" building the solid foundation of the British cultural studies;Bourdieu tries to create a new concept,"habits" instead of "the binary opposition"which has negative influence on the principle "integrity" and "relational".This is the early sigh of the friendly relationship between scholars of British cultural studies and Bourdieu. After that time, the British cultural studies accept the "structuralism" in their studies, while Bourdieu develops the concept of "field" to critic the neglect of motility in"structuralism",so they begin to have more differences than before. The scholars in cultural studies criticize Bourdieu's work ignoring the evaluation of the difference in internal working class.According to the Gramsci Hegemony theories, the British cultural studies develop unique studies focusing on the inside of the working class called youth subculture studies.Bourdieu's cultural social theory provides a distinct perspective view to understand the subculture studies.
