A Research Of The Relationship Between The Criminals' Personality Characteristics And Parental Rearing Pattern

Crime is objectively a social phenomenon and a legal phenomenon.The emergence of criminal acts is determined by both social facts and legal provisions.From the perspective of criminology,criminal behavior is the result of interaction and transformation between various external factors.From a subjective point of view,criminal behavior is also the product of individual psychological activities,which will be affected by various psychological factors of the criminal subject.The most important thing in the study of criminal behavior is the study of the cause of the crime.Compared with accidental factors,the stable internal psychological factors of criminal subjects are easier to study and analyze.The purpose of this study is to explore the factors that influence the personality characteristics of criminal behavior,and to reveal the relationship between family rearing patterns and personality traits.It also provides some operational suggestions to prevent the generation of such personality traits and to transform and rebuild criminals' personality.In terms of theory,it can enrich the theoretical research of criminal psychology;in practice,it can provide the basis of empirical research for the prevention of criminal behavior and the remolding of criminal's personality,and provide suggestions for the formulation of pertinent reform measures for the individual personality characteristics of prisoners;and the improvement of the social security ring.It is also of practical significance to optimize and consolidate the social system.The results of this study shows :1?The personality characteristics of prisoners showed high psychoticism and low EPQ-L characteristics,there is a significant difference from the personality characteristics of the ordinary people.2?There are significant differences in personality characteristics and parental rearing pattern among prisoners of different types of crime.Violent offenders shows higher psychoticism and higher nervous temperament than those of non violent offenders in personality characteristics.3?Two factors called Emotional Warmth and Refusing in parental rearing pattern is significantly correlated with neuroticism and psychoticism in personality characteristics of prisoners.The Emotional Warmth and Refusing of mother rearing pattern can predict the personality characteristics of prisoners in a certain extent.From the results of this study,It is an effective measure to prevent the formation of individual crime and prevent crime by changing unreasonable family rearing patterns and pay more attention to cultivating individual's personality.
