The 2016 G20 Hangzhou Summit witnessed a great success which brought the world's attention to China again. In the past few years,China has been developing an all-directional,multi-layered and wide-ranging opening pattern. With the unprecedented development of international trade, business contract translation has become an increasingly critical factor of great importance to parties in international trade. One simple mistake in contract translation can cause irredeemable loss. This translation practice report, taking the Contract T206: Construction of Tunnels for Thomson Line of an international project between China and Singapore as materials, makes a specific analysis on the contract translation from various perspectives.Taking Skopos Theory as the theoretical basis, the author aims to better achieve the translational purpose of this Contract under the guidance of the rules of the Skopos Theory by using multiple translation strategies and techniques. The author also hopes this paper can facilitate the theoretical study and practice on contract translation. This report consists of four chapters. The first chapter is an description of the translation task that presents the background information, client's requirements and the general language features of English business contracts. The second chapter is a brief review of the translation process. The third chapter analyzes the difficulties in the translation of Contract T206: Construction of Tunnels for Thomson Line, and puts forward some feasible solutions from the perspective of Skopos Theory. And the last chapter summarizes the theoretical and practical significance of this translation practice report.
