Since the publication of One Hundred Years of Solitude in 1967,more than a dozen versions of Chinese translation have appeared in China from 1982 to 2018.Excellent translations were brought to Chinese readers by translators one after another.From 90s in 20th century the translation and publishing industry was more commercializeddue to the influences of market economy environment.At the present,the translation and publishing industry is more influenced by consumption culture.This article uses the method of cultural research to explore the influence of Chinese politics,society,and culture on the Chinese translation of One Hundred Years of Solitude.After anaylyzing the relationships among the aforementioned aspects and the versions of the translation of the novel,the paper,comes to the conclusion that translation not only involves publisher and translator,but also the background of the times.This paper discusses the influence of Chinese society on Chinese versions of One Hundred Years of Solitude inthree chapters,which analyze the problem from the following aspects respectively:discussing the influence of Chinese ideology on the Chinese versions,the tendency of foreignizing strategy and the paratext of Chinese versions of One Hundred Years of Solitude.
