Pagoda is the main building in ancient buddhist temples in China.After the development of Sui and Tang dynasties,It reached the peak in the northern Song dynasty.This paper consists of four parts: introduction,archaeological discussion on the shape and structure of pagoda in the northern Song dynasty,influence of Confucianism and Taoism on the shape and structure of pagoda in the northern Song dynasty,origin and influence of pagoda in the northern Song dynasty.The introduction part of the article is to explain the preservation status,research status,existing problems and the significance and research methods of the topic selection in Henan during the northern Song dynasty.The second part is about the period of northern Song dynasty in Henan region pagoda shape of archaeology,the main use of archaeological typology method on the pagoda type of study,sums up the early and late northern Song dynasty pagoda shape characteristic;The third part mainly discusses the Chinese elements in the form of the pagoda and discusses the influence of Confucianism and Taoism on the form of the pagoda.The fourth part mainly analyzes the architectural features of the buddhist pagoda in the northern Song dynasty.Finally,the innovation points and shortcomings of this paper are summarized in order to provide reference for the follow-up research.
