A Review On The Study Of Xie Wuliang's Book Of Songs And ChuCi

The twenties and thirties of the 20 th century were an important turning point in the development of the Book of Songs and Chu Ci.It realized the transformation from traditional to modern.Xie Wuliang was one of the first scholars to treat poetry with modern vision of the Book of Songs and Chu Ci in the 20 th century.He laid a foundation for the establishment of the subject of the Book of Songs and Chu Ci.However,when it comes to the modern transformation of the academic field of the Book of Songs and Chu Ci in the 20 th century,the achievements of Xie Wuliang were often ignored.This paper intends to make a brief comment on Xie's outlook on the Book of Songs and Chu Ci and his research methods to affirm his influence and position in the history of the Book of Songs and Chu Ci in the 20 th century.This paper is divided into five parts.The introduction part mainly explains the research background and research method of this paper,and summarizes the present research situation.Chapter 1 mainly summarizes the research background of the Book of Songs and Chu Ci in the early 20 th century and explores his origin of academic thought through the analysis of his academic experience.Chapter 2 focuses on Xie Wuliang's view of poetics.Under the background of the confluence of Chinese and Western cultures,Xie Wuliang has innovated while inheriting the tradition,and put forward many new ideas in the discussion of restoring the literary nature of the Book of Songs and the contents of the Book of Songs.Especially from the perspective of philosophy and ethics,it was particularly valuable to analyze the Book of Songs.Chapter 3 elaborates the view of Chu Ci.Xie Wuliang explored the origin of Chu Ci from the perspective of cultural geography and affirmed the theory of "the southern origin of Chu Ci".At the same time,he refuted “Qu Yuan's negativism” and explored the significance and influence of Qu Yuan's patriotic spirit from the perspective of the background of the times.Chapter 4 makes a comments on the research methods and effects of Xie Wuliang's the Book of Songs and Chu Ci.It is mainly discussed from three aspects.One is the inheritance and development of the traditional research methods of poems of the Sao style,such as theliterary criticism method of "Understand human beings and reflect on society" and "mutual verification between epics".The second is the application of the new perspective,such as cultural geography,psychology,literature and art and so on.The third is whether in the research content or research methods,Xie Wuliang has opened a new way for the study of the Book of Songs and Chu Ci,he should have been one of the founders of modern the Book of Songs and Chu Ci.
