An Analysis Of Propaganda Characteristics Of Dramas During The War Of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression

Modern Chinese drama which has a long history,as propaganda's good partner,always have propaganda purpose in terms of form and theme.The main purpose of the drama is to promote the spirit of revolution.During the period of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression,the drama,by its own advantages,surpassing many forms of mass media,such as film,literary works,etc,became a strong propaganda weapon for the Chinese people to fight for national independence and liberation.Therefore,the drama also prospered.This article selects dramas created in China during the period of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression as research objects.Based on the actual atmosphere of propaganda during the war period and playwright as well as their works,the features of the drama are analyzed from the perspective of propaganda.Through the method of literature research and case studies,the drama works during the war are collected,organized,and studied.We will make in-depth analysis of the topics,themes,lines,and other aspects of the drama from those perspectives of the propaganda in order to analyze the content and features behind the drama.In this paper,we sort out the tortuous history of Chinese drama,drama by analyzing the propaganda phenomenon,and summed the three main characteristics:First,with the continuous changes and developments in the war situation,dramas have also formed drama activities focus on different geographical.Combining different factors such as local politics,economy and culture,different propaganda tactics have been formed to meet the needs of war and to promote it.Second,the content of the drama often worked in concert with the content of news during the war period.The theme can fall into two categories: National spirit of resisting aggression,red revolutionary spirit.The former is often reproduce the political news content,exposing the brutal Japanese imperialist aggression;the latter is the revolutionary spirit of Soviet propaganda,encouraging people take an active part in the revolt,patriotic revolution.Finally,in order to achieve the best effect of propaganda,dramas mostly appear with the form of historical dramas,Using the past to satirize thepresent,using of comic satire the Kuomintang reactionaries bureaucrats,use a sharp pungent language drama reveals the decadent and dark Kuomintang bureaucracy.By drawing on fragments of the real life,describing The hardship of people from the underclass,realistic drama arouse people's emotional resonance and trigger people's deep thinking in terms of contemporary social conflicts.The drama propaganda during the War of Resistance period really played a role in awakening people's anti-Japanese patriotism and inspiring people to achieve national independence.To a certain extent,the propaganda affected of the drama has objectively influenced the changes in the political situation and promoted the process and development of the national independence and liberation war.
