Since the new century,suspense novels have become one of the most popular types of popular literature in our country.About the definition of suspense fiction,Zhesheng Tang,the famous popular literature researcher,traced and defined the suspense novel in the 08 issue of contemporary literature,suspense novels in 2014.It said in the article: "China’s mystery novel is exotic,is to learn from Europe and the United States’ black suspense novels’ nutrition localization results".The American black suspense novel was formed in the 1940 s,and the new type of literature appeared after the gradual decline of the detective novels in Europe and America.The plot of his novel also involves the crime,the plot of the case investigation.Suspense and detective fiction,first of all,the protagonist of the story is no longer the case,the police detective role a mass habit,but the story of the protagonist identity design according to the theme of the fiction,which breaks the detective narrative perspective limitations,to create a different world of suspense.Secondly,the focus of the novel is not cracking the mystery of logical reasoning or trick game,but the plot and the whirling case litigant deep psychological activities,and even explore some mysterious events.Therefore,suspense novels attract readers’ interest in reading mainly through complicated,weird plot and complicated maze like psychological structure description.Meanwhile,excellent suspense novels do not need to do the most perfect logical reasoning,but through various suspense narratives to achieve the purpose of profoundly reflecting social problems.Network communication environment China an occasion to present suspense novels of the new century,attracting a large number of suspense reading enthusiasts,has gradually become a class with a large number of loyal fans of the literary creation forces in network literature.At the same time,the suspense novel has led to the development of its surrounding industries.The films adapted from suspense novels have reaped a considerable box office bonus.The writing of suspense novels has become a phenomenon level literary phenomenon,which has aroused the attention of the relevant scholars.This paper uses research methods of narratology,research on suspense novels cultural resources,narrative and narrative space,so as to find the cultural tradition and the text features of suspense novels of the new century,and creative direction of suspense novels of the new century put forward their views and suggestions.This paper selects the works of suspense novelists in the new century as the research object.The thesis is mainly divided into the introduction,the text and the end.The introduction is mainly composed of five parts: the definition of the suspense novel in the new century,the comparison of the similar texts,the summary of the research status at home and abroad,the summary of research methods and the presentation of the paper’s innovation.The main part of the study is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the study of the context and cultural resources of the research object.From the perspective of economy,culture and media,the author analyzes the background and deep reasons of the suspense novel flourishing in the new century.Secondly,from the perspective of cultural resources,we studied the inheritance of suspense novels in the new century to Chinese ancient cultural resources and the absorption of Western suspense works.The second chapter,through a close reading of the text to extract the suspense novels in related stories,the story from the perspective of suspense novels can be divided into three types as follows: in the criminal conspiracy as the center of the suspense,with psychological analysis as the center of suspense,with mysterious space for the heart in suspense.The three basic themes of the suspense novel are obtained by explaining the specific content and characteristics of his works.The third chapter analyzes the narrative features of the suspense novel.The text features and narrative strategies of suspense novels are studied from the perspective of narrative structure and narrative perspective.The fourth chapter studies the spatial characteristics of suspense novels.The description from the mystery novel space of the spatial characteristics of suspense novels are summarized into three forms: the downtown haunted house,villa,Island Bay wilderness,suspense narrative of suspense novels and the three different space effect.In the fifth chapter,the author summarizes and comments on the creation of suspense novels,analyzes and reflects the suspense novels in the new century from the text symptoms to the writers’ writing skills,hoping to provide references for the author and provide some superficial experience for later suspense novels.
