A Study On Ding Shan And His Geographical And Patriarchal Clan Of Shang Dynasty

Mr.Ding Shan(1901-1952)is a famous Chinese ancient characterologist and historian.Mr.Ding Shan's study of the Shang geography and the issue of patriarchal clan has far-reaching influence on academia,and his systematic textual research on the origin and migration of Shang royal patriarchal clan has an important influence on Zou Heng and Zhang Guangzhi.His construction of the patriarchal clan organization framework of Shang Dynasty,inspiring scholars to reconstruct the social organization structure to promote the study of Shang history.Mr.Ding Shan's research has left us a valuable academic legacy.The introduction part explains the reason of choosing this topic,outlines the research of academic history,points out the train of thought and innovation of this paper,and finally explains some details.Chapter One introduces the life and academic activities of Mr.Ding Shan.Although life is running,he is assiduous and devote his life to Chinese ancient history.He has abundant writings,scholarly learning from primary to Confucian classics,from the Confucian classics into historiography,in order to reconstruct ancient historiography.The second chapter focuses on the study of the origin and migration of the royal in Shang Dynasty,pointing out the changes and reasons of the early and late viewpoints.The third chapter focuses on Mr.Ding Shan's Shang Patriarchal Clan system,and points out the difference and relationship between some important concepts.The fourth chapter emphasizes the academic legacy that Mr.Ding Shan left to us today from geography and patriarchal clan theory,and points out that research on pre-Shang culture by Zou Heng and Zhang Guangzhi is the two archaeological achievements of the related study by Mr.Ding Shan.Through the analysis of Taixi Site in Gaocheng,the Lord Guan Temple Site in Xingyang and Yin Relic in Anyang,it is considered that the patriarchal clan theory of Mr.Ding Shan provides a useful supplement to the interpretive mechanism of settlement archaeological materials in Shang Dynasty.The conclusion part mainly summarizes the view of the article.
