Senior high school English teachers,as an important part of the basic education teachers,are the backbone of the development of modern education in the country.Under the guidance of the new curriculum reform,higher quality requirements for English teachers in senior high schools are put forward,which plays an important role in improving students' learning ability and quality.As the implementer of senior high school English teaching activities,the professional development level of senior high school English teachers directly determines the quality of senior high school English teaching.In view of the development of English teachers in senior high schools,some schools have carried out various kinds of advanced learning,which aims at improving their academic qualifications and professional titles.This has a positive impact on improving the quality of English teachers in senior high schools.Currently under the trend of constantly expanding,the education level of senior high school English teachers have been generally improved,but there are some deficiencies in the cultivation of comprehensive qualities,in the teaching experience and in teaching methods.Under the guidance of the theory of teacher professional development,senior high school English teachers need to pursue self development and progress,combining their resources to lifelong education.In the course of development,the overall planning of teacher education and training has to be carried out correspondingly,and schools should provide conditions and guide teachers training.The wholel text is divided into five chapters.The first is the introduction,including the research background,the research status of the analysis and the interpretation of the concept of teacher professional development,putting forward the study methods and framework of this paper;theoretical research part focuses on the corresponding theory and development mode related to senior high school English teacher professional development;this paper uses the method of empirical analysis,a case study No.1 Senior High School Xinzhou District of Wuhan City,to carry out the questionnaire and interviews,investigation and research for the professionaldevelopment of English teachers in Senior high school;analyze the corresponding problem strategy according to the investigation found the problem;finally the author gives a summary of the full text of the study,analyzes the deficiencies,and gives the prospects for future research.
