Research On Ethical Issues Of Modern Human Genetic Intervention Technology

With the beginning of research on the human genome project(HGP),human beings had more thorough understanding on themselves and genetic technology became an important part of modern science and technology.Through genetic technology,humans researched the composition and development of the human body from a microscopic perspective,and therefore achieved a series of new developments in genetic technology such as genetic therapy,genetic cloning,and transgenic technology.With the gradual deepening of the research on the human by using genetic technology,we found that many diseases belong to genetic diseases.Many incurable diseases may be treated and even cured through genetic therapy.Under such circumstances,modern human genetic intervention technology entered our sight.Through this technology,we will have great potential to cure major diseases,and will modify the genetics of children to avoid the emergence of genetic diseases.It can be said that modern genetic intervention technology opened up a new world for us.In this world,we have the right to control ourselves and even become the master of our own destiny.However,it is unwise to blindly develop modern human genetic intervention techniques.The emergence of a new technology will always bring unexpected changes to human society.We must analyze the possible ethical problems of modern human gene intervention technology carefully and find solutions to these ethical issues.Therefore,starting from the development process,characteristics,and social values of modern human gene intervention technology,this paper used the technology risk theory to analyze the risks and particularities of modern human gene intervention technologies,and found answers to ethical issues of modern human genetic intervention technology in accordance with the assesses and guarding mechanism of technological risks and the ethical principle of bioethics.
