As the head of the four major southern operas,Jing chai Ji recorded a total of 48 episodes including 381 rhymes. The rhyme system can be divided into seventeen rhymes, seven of which are Yin Yin Rhymes, seven are Yang Rhymes, and three are Rhymes. It is a significant decrease compared with the period of the "Guangyun",and the proportion of the rhymes with similar pronunciations gradually expanded.Among these rhymes, the words of Jiayun are progressively differentiated;the words of the Youhou department are partially subsumed into the Yumu rhyme;the Jiehai rhyme and the Tai Rhyme are gradually transferred to the Zhiwei rhyme;the rhymes interact with each other and these phenomena are an essential reflect of the change in Tongyu. There is a popular phenomenon in Jing Chai ji that the pronunciation of vowels are closely connected, and due to the similar pronunciations, the Zhiwei rhyme is mixed with the Yumu rhyme and Yumu rhyme is in conflict with Youhou rhyme. It indicates that the syllable rime in Jing Chai ji is affected by Wuyu dialect.Yantian and Hanxian rhymes have rhyming words, and shows that the [-m] ending gradually mixes with the [-n] ending of the “Jing Chai Ji”,so there are signs of shedding. In the detaining of Hansen and Gengbu,it reflects the conversion of Yun-tail [-n] to Yun-tail [-?] in Jing Chai Ji.The rhyme still exists, but the number of independent leaf rhymes is small, and most of them are imprisoned with Yin Yin rhyme. It can be found that the entering rhyme end [-p][-t][-k] in the Jing Jing Ji begins to weaken, facing vanishing trend.Comparing the characteristics of rhyme with the features of " Jing Chai Ji","The White Rabbit","The Moonlight Pavilion","Zhong Yuan Yin Yun" and "Hong Wu Zheng Yun".As the merger gradually decreases, the [-m] ending is lost, and the incoming rhyme is sent in three times and gradually disappears.
