The Study On The Image Of Zichan

Zichan is a famous philosopher during the Spring and Autumn period,whose deeds were recorded in the book of Zuozhuan.Based on Zuozhuan,this paper studies the image of Zichan,which can be divided into five parts.The first part introduces the historical background of Zichan's time and the situation of Zheng state before Zichan held power.The second part explores the image of Zichan as a capable minister.This part is discussed from three aspects as a good leader,a good listener and a pioneer of reform.Zichan's image as a capable minister is reflected in his smart strain,knowing people,being good at advising and accepting opinions,judging the hour and sizing up the situation,conforming to the times.The third part probes into the image of Zichan as a gentleman,which is mainly reflected from three angles.Firstly,being not fear of the ruling class and the authority.Secondly,emphasizing practical,being learned and capable.Thirdly,being frank and honest,convincing people by reasoning with them.The fourth part discusses the shaping method of typical Zichan image in ZuoZhuan.First of all,ZuoZhuan carries out a distinctive identity comparison.Secondly,the rich language description further portrays Zichan's image.Again,depicting the image from the multidimensional perspectives.Finally,creating the image of Zichan with the “Zuo-styled exaggeration” method.The fifth part investigates the significance and influence of Zichan's image in ZuoZhuan,which reflects the desire for pursuing virtuous ministers in a era where rite and music was wrecked,sets up a model as a sagacious subject,develops and expands gentleman personality.
