In recent years, more and more researchers have realized the importance of task repetition in second language acquisition and second language teaching. The influence of task repetition on learners' oral language has aroused extensive attention. There are many researches about task repetition at home and abroad, including task duplication and task complexity.Meanwhile, previous studies mainly focus on task manipulation conditions or on task complexity itself, and the subjects of these studies are mostly college students.Relatively speaking, there are fewer researches on the impact of task repetition on learners' oral output in senior high school. In order to provide some reference and inspiration for oral English teaching in high schools, this thesis attempts to explore the effects of task repetition on the attention oriented(fluency, accuracy and complexity)oral output of senior high school students in our country. This research adopts the empirical research method. The main concerns are as follows: 1.What are the effects of task repetition on fluency, accuracy and complexity of oral expression of high school students? 2.What are the differences between the same task repetition and different task repetition in the attention orientation(fluency, accuracy and complexity)of oral expression of high school students? 3.Does the task repetition affect the fluency, accuracy and complexity of oral output in the new task that is similar? The subjects were selected from the first grade of Nantong Middle School of Jiangsu Province.Researchers randomly divided 28 students into two groups, namely, the experimental group and the comparative group. There are 14 participants in each group, and the ratio male to female is 1:1.The experiment sustained for four weeks, one interval a week. The content of the first experiment is like this: the experiment group and the comparison group completed a narrative task in the prescribed time according to the researchers' instructions. The experiment group and the comparison group used all the materials in this task A,and the researchers recorded the narrative content through the recording pen.The second experiment conducted in this way: the experimental group repeated the use of material A for oral output, and the comparison group used material B to complete the narrative task. Then the third trial content is: the experimental group A continued to perform the same tasks as the previous two times, the comparison group used the material C to perform the task. The fourth experiment is: the experiment group A repeated the previous task, and the comparison group adopted the material D to perform the task. After each oral production, participants were interviewed and their answers were recorded. The researchers coded the speech material, and the experimental data were analyzed by statistic software SPSS.The statistical results confirmed the three questions mentioned above,in the first place, task repetition has an impact on the attention orientation of high school students' oral expression;and repetition of the same task has obviously improved the fluency of high school students' oral expression, which has a slight improvement in accuracy and no influence on the complexity.Next, the repetition of different tasks has an effect on the fluency of high school students' oral expression. It has no significant impact on accuracy and complexity. In the end, task repetition has a positive transfer effect on the fluency, accuracy and complexity of the spoken language in the new task that is similar, which means the improvement of oral fluency will be reflected in the new task. The main implications of the results above are as follows:Firstly, teachers who want to improve their students' oral fluency can take the same task repetition as the teaching method.Secondly, the results of the study show that the same task repetition is the best way to improve the fluency of the students' oral expression.Thirdly, teachers should pay attention to the transition from the repetition of the same tasks to the repetition of different tasks, providing students with the opportunity to repeat tasks. Therefore,in view of the teaching design, teachers should pay attention to the different presentation of the same language material,so that students can repeat them many times,so as to achieve the effect of transfer of the task repetition. The English teachers should attach great importance to the students' input of the task repetition, from the repetition of same tasks to the repetition of different tasks.Teachers should gradually increasing the difficulty of the tasks, which cultivates the students' oral expression ability.
