American business best seller If You Really Want to Change the World was published by Harvard Business Review Press in October,2015.This book mainly introduced how the High-tech start-ups in different industries successfully created the enterprises that have changed the world.My supervisor professor Deng,two of his colleagues and I worked together to translate the book and the Chinese version????????was published by CITIC Press in March 2017.Considering the strong artistry of SL,the translation team decided to try its best to retain the linguistic artistry of SL and appropriately increase the linguistic artistry in the Chinese version.This is an effort to ensure the translation quality of the Chinese version in order to achieve the best interpretation effect of its translation.This report takes If You Really Want to Change the World as an example and adopts the language artistry as the cut-in point to analyze the linguistic artistry of English business bestsellers.Then,translation strategies which are expected to fully retain and appropriately increase the linguistic artistry in the Chinese version are explored on the basis of faithfulness to the ST through case study to convey the artistic charm of SL and make the translation text appropriate and natural,which can conform to the language habit and aesthetic psychology of Chinese readers and attract Chinese audiences.This is an innovative attempt to improve the translation quality of English business best sellers from the perspective of linguistic artistry.In the translation of such kind of books,the guiding role of linguistic artistry should be given full play in translation of English business bestsellers to disseminate the business information effectively.
