Oscar’s sports movie stories’ narrating and expression of value are typical,usually based on sports,including the growth and entanglement of characters,the change of interpersonal relationship and other elements.Taking the sports movies which won the Oscar prize as a research sample,it can help us understand the meaning structure of classic sports movies,and form useful experience for Chinese sports movies.The paper divides into five chapters.In the first chapter,there are three parts in the introduction.First of all,the problem is caused by the phenomenon.To study the current Chinese film market and sports film development status,the paper puts forward the core issues.Then,through sorting out the existing research results of sports films at home and abroad,we can understand the research progress and the unstudied area in order to identify the location of this problem.Finally,it states the operation process,ideas and methods of this study.The second chapter is an overview for the selected samples from Oscar sports films.The core concepts,the development process of Oscar sports movies and the performance of sports movies in the history of Oscar awards are respectively reviewed,and the connotation and denotation of the research were determined.The third chapter,from the formal level,based on the analysis paradigm of story plays,carries out textual analysis of the Oscar sports movies involved from three angles: plot structure,characters and story types.The study deems that Oscar sports film follows the classic narrative structure design mode,forming a large plot,and the story is clear and integrity.The main characters are closely related to the solution of events and difficulties.The difference between the unlike personage and the plot proves different.The plot of the poor protagonist shows the oblique N—type and the V—type to variant sometimes,and the civilian leading actor is V—type.The relationship of characters is also distinct.Generally speaking,Oscar sports movies belong to the “Golden Fleece” story.The protagonist needs to overcome a series of problems when he goes to search for the “golden fleece” with his own team.The fourth chapter analyzes the spiritual meaning reflected by Oscar’s sports films from the value level,which embodies in three kinds of value orientations: encouragement,redemption and change.The meaning generation of Oscar’s sports movies bases on the form of story narrating,which encapsulates values bearing the American values,and completes the output of meaning.Therefore,the fifth chapter,combined with the development of Chinese sports movies and the main points of the four chapters,discusses the inspiration and significance of Oscar sports movies to sports films in China.The paper points out that the ability of story telling is the key problem for our sports movie to break through at the present time.At the same time,moderately extended,it puts forward that sports as a way of life has not really landed yet,being a social factor for the current predicament.In conclusion,the paper analyzes Oscar’s sports movies’ story and spiritual connotation in order to provide reference for Chinese creation from the perspective of story.This is the academic value of research.The ability to tell story is more and more important in modern society,and the Oscar sports films can use the simple but impacting dramatic ways to tell various stories.Then,in the framework of competitive sports,such works reveal the value on revering and exploring inner significance about human beings and life.
