Si Ku Quan Shu is the largest Chinese ancient series of books which was compiled in the reign of emperor Qianlong,is the epitome of classical literature of China. It was divided into four parts: Confucian classics, history, philosophy and literature.Wenyuan chamber “SiKuQuanShu” included 3461 books,79309 volumes, covering the most important books handed down from the Pre-Qin Period to Qing dynasty. However,Si Ku Quan Shu was also a instrument for controlling thoughts of the emperor Qianlong. The large-scale books collection became a more large-scale officially book-banned movement. The quantity, the scale, the length of time, the methods of banned books in Qing dynasty were all unprecedented in the history of China. In particular, the book-banned movement in the course of the compilation of the Si Ku Quan Shu is a catastrophe in Chinese cultural history. This paper makes an attempt to combine the study of Si Ku Quan Shu with northeast regional culture. On one hand,I want to sort out northeast literature for the study of northeast history through the book-banned movement. On the other hand,I hope to make a small contribute to the study of Si Ku Quan Shu and banned books through northeast literature. The first chapter of this article reveals the basic facts of books collection and banned from “the compilation of Si Ku Quan Shu archives”,“Qianlong imperial edict archives”,“The general catalogue of Si Ku Quan Shu”,“The catalogue of adopted books”,including related circumstances in the northeast. The second chapter shows the northeast literatures that were destroyed and analyze the reasons and characteristics of the forbidden books from“the compilation of Si Ku Quan Shu archives”,“The catalogue of banned books in Qing dynasty”.The third chapter carries out the examination of the 58 northeast literatures that have been destroyed from the author, content, version and value. The fourth chapter discusses the influence of the policy of prohibition on the circulation of northeast literature.
