As an important part of the world literature,Children's Literature has not only sufficient content,vivid and interesting language,but also profound pedagogical meaning,which plays a very important role in the children's development.But the scholars and researchers haven't paid much attention to it for a long time.This translation report comes from The Storybook of Legends,which is written by a famous American writer named Shannon Hale.The author translates this English fiction under the guidance of the reception aesthetics,discusses the problems in the translation and gives some specific resolutions,expecting to explore the translation skills and strategies of the Children's Literature works.This report consists of four parts.Part One is the introduction of this translation task,including the resource of the translation task,the translation text and the translation meanings.Part Two describes the translation process,including the preparation,the first draft,the revised translation and the final translation.In the third part,the author analyzes the typical examples from the aspect of the words,the sentences,the rhetoric and the culture with the reception aesthetics.Part Four is the conclusion of the report and the author points out the deficiencies in this translation practice,expecting to put forward some higher requirements for the translators.
