With the continuous development of modern information technology,audio-visual teaching has been more and more widely used.As one of the important carriers of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,audio-visual teaching materials have been paid much attention by teachers and students.Although there is a theoretical study on audio-visual teaching materials for Chinese as a foreign language,there are not many and there are good and bad research content.So the study of audio-visual teaching materials for foreign language is still very necessary.From the choice of teaching materials,there are a wide range of films,TV series,drama and entertainment programs and other forms.Therefore,this paper focuses on the difference of material selection and selects three sets of middle and advanced Chinese audio-visual teaching materials,namely,Chinese City Business Card,Qinhuai Family,Watching Movies to Learn Chinese.Audio-visual teaching material is the basis of teachers' teaching and students' study.The topic selection in audio-visual teaching material directly affects the effect of teaching and learning in audio-visual teaching.So we make a comparative analysis of the topic content,quantity distribution,type distribution and topic arrangement of the three sets of textbooks.Through the study,we found that the topics selected from the three sets of textbooks are representative topics of interest to students.Through the study,we found that the topics selected from the three sets of textbooks are representative topics of interest to students.Among them,the number of topics in Chinese City Business Card is the most,but the topic types are too concentrated;while Watching Movies and Learning Chinese has the most kinds of topics,but the topic order is not strong;at the same time,Qinhuai Family has the most uniform distribution of topics.But the repetition rate is too high.Therefore,this paper summarizes in detail the advantages and disadvantages of the selection of topics in the three sets of audio-visual textbooks.At the same time,it is suggested that the content of topic selection should be extended to the types of textbooks and videos,pay attention to the wide range of topics involved and increase the cultural content of topics.In the way of topic arrangement,we should improve the order of topic arrangement,set up several skill exercises and topic settings that accord with the types of audio-visual class,and combine them with emotional cognition,etc.Finally,this paper puts forward some suggestions for teaching Chinese as a foreign language which is closely related to audio-visual teaching materials,hoping to be helpful in teaching.
