| The sub-skills teaching model is widely adopted in Chinese teaching field,which means offering one comprehensive course as the key course while setting up specialized courses,such as listening,speaking,reading and writing,etc.And use relevant textbooks.In the teaching process,the compatibility is a most important aspect.If the content of textbooks can be better coordinated and strengthen the relationship between each other,which is bound to have a positive effect on the learners.In this paper,we take " Road to Success" textbooks as examples,using comparative analysis and quantitative analysis to compare the following aspects:topics,vocabulary and grammar.To analyze the compatibility between " Road to Success" and its branching textbooks.And then to put forward some suggestions on teaching and compilation according to the research results.Starting from the "topic",we firstly classify the whole topics in three textbooks,and then observe and study the distribution and sequence of the similar topics in these books,at last analyze the recurrence of similar topics.We found that the relationship between the comprehensive textbook and the branch textbooks is not that close,and the number of similar topics is quite small.The distribution of the similar topics in two books shows a trend of less concentrated and more scattered,which is not conducive to the consolidation of similar topics.The three textbooks show the following characteristics in terms of topic recurrence: Under the same topic,different subtopics are selected;the same topic,the different situations and expressions;fit their own class characteristics.From the perspective of “vocabulary”,the paper analyzes the characteristics of vocabulary layout,vocabulary quantity,lexical level distribution and vocabulary recurrence.We found that there is no much difference about average vocabulary among the three textbooks.However,as elementary textbooks,the vocabulary of each lesson seems too large.In terms of vocabulary difficulty level,the lexical difficulty of the branching textbooks is rather large.As for the same vocabulary in three textbooks,which is better matched with the rank distribution.As for "grammar",the paper analyze the coverage and repetition of the two branching textbooks.We found that the comprehensive textbook corresponding with its positioning,and the coverage is also reasonable.In terms of the recurrence of the same grammar,the three textbooks have achieved the perfect complementarity.However,in the presentation of some complex language points,the three textbooks still have room for improvement.For example,complex language points should adopt a decentralized strategy to avoid the interference between similar language points.Finally,the paper puts forward personal thoughts and suggestions on the compatibility between the teaching materials and the existing problems. |
