Exercises investigation in teaching Chinese as a second language is meaningful but less involved, however, the exercises compatibility of comprehensive textbook and branching textbooks is rarely mentioned. In this paper, the author concentrating on exercises of elementary developing Chinese, using comparative analysis and quantitative analysis, study the exercises compatibility and puts forward own opinions and suggestion.This paper is divided into six parts. In the first chapter, the author poses the object of research, research significance, research status, research methods, and the relationship between courses design and textbook compilation. The second chapter briefly analyzes the structure of the comprehensive textbook, and divides exercises into listening, speaking, reading and writing, comprehensive four categories. The third, fourth and fifth chapter respectively make a comparison between four categories mentioned above and corresponding branching textbook exercises in exercise quantity and exercise style The last chapter summarizes the exercises compatibility, points out the shortcomings of this investigation and made own helpful recommendations.The author hope the paper can provide a reasonable reference for exercises compatibility design in textbooks compilation, and draw more attention in exercises compatibility as well.
