Research On Fu Theory In Bashu Area During Song Dynasty

As a traditional Chinese literary form,Fu occupies an important position in traditional Chinese culture.However,compared to Poem,Ci and Qu,study on this form was ignored by academic circle from 1950 s to 1980 s.Thus study on Fu is helpful to have a complete and overall understanding on traditional Chinese literature,which helps us to inherit and develop Chinese traditional culture.Making a general survey of the development of Chinese Ci and Fu,it’s easy to find the one in Bashu area takes an important part in each era.Song Dynasty is a peak time as well as transitional period,presenting a prosperous picture.It was not only reflected in different literary forms,but also in it’s maturity in thought.Ci and Fu during Song Dynasty left a deep influence on Bashu’s Ci and Fu,even the whole history of Ci and Fu in China.That’s exactly the meaning of this study.Regional literary form in each dynasty is influenced by its geographical environment,cultural atmosphere,socioeconomic status and so on.Song’ s Fu appears closely related to the pattern of Bashu literature as well as the special location of Bashu area during Song Dynasty,prosperous culture and developed economy at that time.Since 1980 s,literary geography has sprung up in China,Scholars began to discuss literature from the perspective of geography.Similarly,great importance has been attached to geography in the west.In this background,this paper will present the features of Bashu Fu in Song Dynasty and its special position and influence,by comparing it with Fu in other areas.Through sorting of textual data,I find that study on Fu in Bashu area during Song Dynasty is rare from geographical perspective,waiting to be dug up.On this occasion,this paper will do some tentative exploration in this area.There are three parts to research Fu throry in Bashu area during song dynasty:First,the introduction part will mainly elaborate the reasons of selecting the topic,research status of Fu in Bashu area during Song Dynasty,the value and the methods used in the study and so on.Second,the main body to research Fu theory in Bashu area during song dynasty.The part has three chapters.Chapter one: Study on the background of Bashu Fu’s formation during Song dynasty.It’s formation will mainly be stated in geographic environment and its location,cultural and economic condition,and the foundation of Han dynasty’s.Chapter two:This paper will present a research on the main contain from Fu theory and Fu works from the thoughts displayed in the Cifu’s theory and works,and mainly discuss value,creation view,esthetic thought of Bashu Fu during Song dynasty.This chapter will be divided into three parts.The first part will mainly discuss two dialectic thoughts,including “emphasizing the practical value”and “affection”,which are closely related to the development of agricultural civilization since ancient times and the formation of Bashu literature’s pattern in Han Dynasty.The second part will discuss a creative thought of worship nature since Song Dynasty in Bashu,and Bashu Fu during Song dynasty reflects the thought of Fu advocating natural both in creation and formal style;The third part will mainly discuss Bashu Cifu’s thoughts in different style,including “Emphasis on literature”“advocating gorgeous”,which is a tradition all the time and has a great effect on the creation of Bashu Cifu.Chapter three: This chapter will discuss the status and its influence of Bashu Fu during Song Dynasty.This part will present the study from vertical and horizontal aspects respectively.Vertically,Bashu Fu during Song dynasty tried hard to change Five dynasty’s drawbacks like vanity and shallow since Tang dynasty,acting as the founder of Fu’s transformation.Horizontally,compared to Cifu thought in other regions,it’s easy to find that Bashu Fu during Song dynasty strove to rectify Song Dynasty ’s thought of kingcraft which overemphasized the thought of Fu’ politicalvalue,stressed Fu’s own value and acted as a rectifier.The end is epilogue.The part simple summarie the back ground of Bashu Fu’formation during song dynasty and features.
