A Study On Historical Materials Of Huxiang Music In Tang And Song Dynasties

The musical culture in Tang and Song Dynasty has varied types and distinctive features.At that time,influenced by then politic,economy and society,HuXiang culture had the features of both Wu culture and Yangtze culture.Under this influence,HuXiang musical culture in Tang and Song Dynasty was diversified.However,currently,academic community has not systematically organized the documents of HuXiang musical culture,or studied deeply the musical culture in that period.So author hopes to contribute to these unnoticed culture by sorting out and studying it.The paper consists of three parts,namely,introduction,three chapters and conclusion.The introduction talks about the research background of paper,including background,significance,literature review and research methods.Chapter one talks about the culture background and musical culture background in Tang and Song Dynasty,and introduces its influence on culture from the perspective of politic,and economy and the mainstream and main groups of musical culture.Chapter two analyses the HuXiang musical culture from the perspective of literature review,including analysis of source,record features and content features of historical materials.Chapter three analyses the historical materials from the perspective of music.The first part analyses the sources of musical culture.The first source is the Hubei music of longitudinal history,and the second one is the Yangtze culture of longitudinal geography.The second part talks about the famous figures and music activities,and chooses three representatives,namely,Li Qunyu,Liu Yuxi and Jiang Xie.The third part analyses the music forms from the perspectives of performing form,songs and singing art,and studies its relation with current HuXiang musical culture.With the analysis and study of three chapters,the paper shows the full picture of HuXiang musical culture in Tang and Song Dynasty.
