The Research On The Expressional Forms Of Degree Of The Dialect In The Xinning County,Hunan Province

This thesis takes Xinning dialect as the research object,mainly using the methods of field investigation,induction,statistics,as well as description and explanation.From the lexical level,the writer investigates the rich forms and characteristics of the expressional forms of "degree" of Xinning dialect.Through the study of a large number of Xinning dialect corpus acquired,we found that the concrete expressional forms of "degree"of Xinning dialect are very diverse.It mainly includes prefix appended XA formula and its variant,the other vivid expressional forms of degree(such as overlapping,infix,fixed format of four words),degree adverb and degree complement.Compared with Putonghua and other Xiang dialects,Xinning dialect has many unique and,vivid expressions of "degree".From the three angles of semantics,grammar and pragmatics,this paper focuses on analyzing the expressional forms of "degree" of the unique characteristics of Xinning dialect,revealing its characteristics,so as to establish a perfect system of the expressional forms of " degree" of Xinning dialect.The paper consists of five parts:The first chapter is the introduction,mainly introducingXinning county's natural conditions,social culture,history and the use of dialect.This chapter also summarizes the research status of Xiang dialect's expressional forms of "degree" and the current research status of Xin Ning dialect.Besides,it introduces the research methods and significance of this study,and the phonetic system of Xinning dialect.The second chapter researched the adjective.The study describes the characteristics of the expressional forms of degree of the formula XA and its three variant,additional suffix formula from the three angles of word formation,semantic features and grammatical functions.And the semantic color and collocation limitation are explained accordingly.And this chapter also focuses on the other vivid expressional forms of degree of the adjectives in the Xingning dialect.After investigation,we described and analyzed ten kinds of vivid forms of adjectives:"AX ?" "AXX ?" "AA ??""AABB" "A ???" "A ? A ?" "A ? AB" "A ? AB" "disyllabic noun XY+ suffix"and "fixed format of four words".The third chapter is the degree adverbials,mainly describing and analyzing the situation of degree adverbs,modal adverbs and demonstrative pronouns as adverbials.The degree adverbs system,the modal adverbs and the demonstrative pronouns which can be used as adverbials are sorted out.From the point of view of word construction,syntactic function and grammatical meaning,3 adverbs of degree——“?”,“?”and“?”have been studied in depth.The forth chapter is mainly about degree complements in Xinning dialact,describing the degree adverbs as the degree complements in Xinning dialect,and investigating and analyzing the situation of a number of typical fixed phrases and proverbs by figurative and exaggerated rhetoric as the degree complements.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,summarizing the various forms,characteristics and laws of the expressional forms of degree of Xin Ning dialect,and pointing out the shortcomings of my own research.
