Between late 19 th century and early 20 th century,the United States experienced a rapid economic development,from rural to urban society,from agricultural to industrial society,from the transition of free capitalism to monopoly capitalism.With the rapid development of the country brought about by economic development,social problems,such as political corruption,the disparity between rich and poor,serious industrial conflict,workers in difficult situation,natural resources waste,and so on.The United States is facing an unprecedented social crisis.laissez-faire has played an important role in the development of the United States economy for a long time,but with the development of monopolistic capitalism,laissez-faire has become outdated and can not solve real problems.Instead,it has become a shackle that restricts the further development of the United States.The development of American society requires the government to make a difference.At the critical moment that Theodore Roosevelt took social justice as the policy aim of "Square Deal".A series of successful reforms in the political,economic and social spheres made it possible for the United States to emerge from its predicament,and become an important step into modern society.Woodrow Wilson's "New Freedom",Franklin Roosevelt's "New Deal",Lyndon Johnson's "Great Society",and the 44 th President Barack Hussein Obama were all influenced by "New Nationalism",which applied some of its ideas to the governance process." Square Deal " has also had a profound impact on the constitutional government of the United States.It has made the power of the U.S.president and the U.S.federal government unprecedented and promoted the efficient operation of the U.S.government.It also promotes the awakening of the national consciousness of the American public,the further strengthening of social responsibility,and the raising of awareness of the fight and maintenance of their own rights.It has also become an important factor in the development of the democratic process in the United States.
