Study On The Lightness In The Poems Of Mei Yaochen

Carrying forward the Tang poetry and exerting the deep influence on later poems,Mei Yaochen occupies a decisive position in Song Dynasty.Regarded as his own responsibility,he discarded the shortcomings of the flashy Xi-Kun poetic style,and focused on creating a new style of poetry in the Song dynasty,and finally achieved the artistic "lightness" of poetry.The "lightness" extended from the original meaning of "light flavor" to philosophical and aesthetic aspects,and went beyond the height of the original meaning in the intersection of the two.Because of his deep studying and understanding to poetry,Mei found his position in the coordinates of the early Song Dynasty--"lightness" of poetry.He regarded lightness as the aesthetic orientation of poetry,as well as the overall view of poetry creation.His lightness was the restoration of ancient poetry “Feng” and ”Ya”,and also it was Mei Yaochen's success of poetry innovation.Mei was simple and easy,indifferent to fame and wealth.And he pursued lightness during his poetry creation,which created his “lightness” poetry.The category of "lightness" in Mei's poetry is various.In the integration,it is found that its contents have the meaning of "simple and far-sighted" and the delight of the "ancient lightness",which had a unique lingering charm.The style "simple and elegant" and "morally lofty" were isomorphic but neterogeny and their overall tendency was to blend into the morally-elegant style.Mei's creative poetic way promoted the poetry tide in the Song Dynasty.Brewing in the historical and cultural accumulation,Mei used "lightness" to infiltrate the overall orientation of poetry aesthetic interest in song dynasty and he regarded the rational spirit as the core of song poetry due to the song people's rational national character.The internal rational spirit and the external paradigm of "prose culture" were reflected,and the overall renovation of the internal and external interweaving produced a greater defamiliarization and cultural-artistic effect,which deeply influenced the song dynasty and the later poets."Lightness" also became the cultural label of his own temperament and poems.This paper consists of four chapters.Chapter one discusses the origin of Mei pomes' lightness."Lightness" was extended to philosophy and aesthetics by its own "light" taste,and it manifested itself in the field of art and literature.The "lightness" thought had a historical development in the poetry art,and its meaning was constantly increasing,and its connotation was constantly enriched,which became an important aesthetic proposition of art.Mei's poems held the historical development skeleton,and endowed them with the unique aesthetic environment "lightness".Chapter two discusses the concrete manifestation of lightness on his poems,one of which was the lightness of "implication".The lightness of "implication" came from the meaning of "simple and far-sighted "presenting from poetry reality and emotion,and the delight of the ancient lightness which followed the ancient appreciation.It was found that the real life,emotional trend,and ancient general purpose were thought together that made the poems "light" and appealing.Chapter three discusses another expression of Mei poetry's lightness style,which was complemented by the implication;and it became the perfect expression of the "lightness" of his poems.At the same time,the style of "lightness" is the dominant sign of Mei's poetry in the poetic circles,"simple and elegant" and "morally lofty" flew together into the unique flavor of "morally-elegant".Chapter four discusses the effect of the Mei's poetry's lightness on the plain taste of the Song poetry.This "lightness" affected the aesthetic taste of the Song poetic circles,the rational spirit of the psychological level,and most obviously the expressing style of poems in Song dynasty.With the development of the prose culture,the implication and style of "lightness” of Mei's poetry also entered into the poems of Song dynasty and its later poets.
