Wang Xiaobo is a writer who has gotten much more popularity after death than his lifetime. His novels have attracted the attention of a large number of ordinary readers and professional researchers. This paper holds that Wang Xiaobo's novels embody a unique style of lightness aesthetics, which makes his novels both realistic and aesthetic. However, there is no clear definition of the concept of lightness in academic circles. Those question about what is Wang Xiaobo's lightness style, what specific textual strategies are related to this lightness style, and what kind of unique aesthetic connotation of this lightness style are all worth our deep thinking.Based on this dimension, this paper points out that lightness refers to a kind of transcendental happiness in Wang Xiaobo's novels, and analyzes three specific textual strategies of lightness: black humor, childlike innocence and imagination. The light aesthetic style of Wang Xiaobo's novels not only reflects and criticizes the reality, but also surpasses the dark reality in a light way, highlighting the unique aesthetic significance of literature. The introduction of this paper is divided into two parts. In the first part, the author summarizes the research on all aspects of Wang Xiaobo's novels at home and abroad in recent years.Through literature review,we find that: at present, the research on Wang Xiaobo's novels has made considerable achievements at home and abroad. However, little attention has been paid to the lightness style of Wang Xiaobo's novels, and there is no rational definition and understanding of lightness in most studies, which leads to the fuzziness of the analysis on the lightness style of Wang Xiaobo's novels. This paper tries to make a breakthrough in this aspect. In the second part, through philosophical speculation on the concept of lightness, the author defines the meaning of the concept in this paper: lightness is a kind of happiness, which is the transcendence of pain and the unremitting pursuit of beauty. The main body of this paper is divided into three chapters, respectively analyzing the three textual strategies of the formation of the lightness style with its practical significance and aesthetic significance in Wang Xiaobo's novels. In the first chapter, this paper explains that Wang Xiaobo tried to write sadness with joy,and to write something burdensome with a lightness style,so that he created the beauty of lightness in the text with a black humorous style, and dissolved the heaviness of the reality with humor spirit while criticizing the reality. The second chapter describes how Wang Xiaobo took us to see another light with a world childlike innocence. He discovered and rebuilt the world full of romance and warmth from the innocent perspective of children, and gave people the courage to face suffering, transcend suffering and believing in beauty. He transcended the heavy and uninteresting reality with the child's game mentality, and transcended the inevitable death of human beings. The third chapter analyzes how Wang Xiaobo considered imagination as a strategy and the intention of doing so.He used poetic imagination to construct a light and elegant spiritual home full of wisdom, sex and interest. The purpose of using imagination as a strategy of lightness style is that he can against the life of the heavy burden with art imagination, and give a person with spiritual and soul comfort, and the courage of facing suffering directly and believing in goodliness. At the same time,he hoped to reveal the value of literature existence: literature is neither empty nor a mirror to reflect reality as it is,but a way of a light way of life existence. Thus, the formation and unique implication of the light style in Wang Xiaobo's novels have been basically clear. To some extent, lightness is not only a reflection of the heavy reality, but also a revolt against the boring reality, and a transcendental balance between lightness and heaviness of literature.
