Influence Of Money Profiles And Money Priming On Helping Behavior

This study selected college students as subjects,and explored the relationship between money profiles,money priming,and helping behaviors from two perspectives:helping tendency and helping behavior.This shows that the start of money profiles and money priming is an important influence on people’s helping behavior.Factors,trying to reveal the occurrence and development of helping behaviors.This is of positive significance for raising awareness and helping behavior of individuals and helping to create a good living environment and promote the harmonious development of society.This study was divided into two experiments.In the first experiment,277 college students were selected as subjects.Scrambled-words task priming,money profiles questionnaire and helping tendency questionnaire compiled by Xinhui Fu were used in study 1 to investigate the influence of money priming and money profiles on helping tendency of undergraduates.We found that compared with money insurgents and money indifferent persons,Careless Money Admirer show the least help tendency,and Achieving Money Worshiper show the highest tendency of helping others.Compared to Careless Money Admirer,Apathetic Money Handler,and Money Repellers,the money priming can significantly reduce the helping tendency of Achieving Money Worshiper.In experiment 2,214 college students who participated in Experiment 1 were selected as subjects.Scrambled-words task priming,money profiles questionnaire and voluntary fill out the questionnaire are considered as helping behavior,and the moderating effect of money profiles in money priming on actual helping behavior of undergraduates was investigated.We found that compared with the neutral priming,the money priming will obviously reduce the individual’s helping behavior.Compared to Careless Money Admirer and Money Repellers,the money priming will obviously reduce the helping behavior of Apathetic Money Handler and Achieving Money Worshiper.Through discussion and analysis,the conclusions are followed:(1)Money profiles is an important factor that influences the tendency of helping people.(2)Money priming is an important factor that influences the behavior of helping people.(3)Whether it is the tendency of helping others or the behavior of helping others,both the money profiles and the money priming will influence the helping behavior.
