An Intervention Study Of Positive Discipline Group Counseling Course Of Parenting For Primary School Students' Social And Emotional Health

Objective:In this study,by interfering with the parenting style of their parents,the researcher propose to discuss the effects of positive discipline group counseling course of parenting on the social and emotional health of primary school students and explore the effectiveness of the positive discipline group counseling course of parenting on improving the social and emotional health level.Methods:In this study,the parents of 51 students in a primary school in Changsha city were recruited by experimental method.In this study,every parent of this class was invited and the method of voluntary registration was followed.Finally,18 parents signed up to participate in the positive discipline course.They and their children were served as the experimental group.The other 33 parents and their children in the class served as the control group.Parenting style and social and emotional health level are tested before and after the experiment for both control group and the experimental group,and T test was carried out on the collected data,to assess whether the positive discipline group counseling course of parenting can enhance the level of primary school social and emotional health.Results:(1)Positive discipline group counseling course of parenting has a significant effect on the improvement of parental rearing style;(2)Positive discipline group counseling course of parenting can indirectly affect children's social and emotional health,and the effect is obvious;(3)Positive discipline group counseling course of parenting has no significant effect on the quality of perseverance;(4)Positive discipline group counseling course of parenting helps to improve student's life satisfaction.Conclusion:(1)Positive discipline group counseling course of parenting has a significant improvement on the parenting styles of the mothers.(2)Positive discipline group counseling course of parenting can significantly improve the social and emotional health of primary school students in students'quality of zest,gratitude and optimism;(3)No significant improvement in the students' quality of fortitude is achieved in the positive parenting group counseling course;(4)With the improvement of the social and emotional health level of primary school students,the life satisfaction level of primary school students has also been improved accordingly.
