The Retrograde Style Of Richard Strauss' Music Composition

Richard Strauss was one of the greatest composers of late German Romanticism and one of the largest composers of symphony and headline music.Although his works are not only the longest reserved music tracks in the world,but also the hot cases that have long been the focus of Chinese and foreign music studies.They are also the classical teaching materials of professional music education in various countries.However,in the works of western music history in the 20 th century,Most of Rolls' musical compositions have not been well-appraised and are often mixed or even criticized over praise.The retrograde style in Strauss' s music usually refers to his sudden withdrawal from the avant-garde queue back to the conservatives' camp when he was the leader of modern music.By combing Strauss' s music retrograde style evolvement process and its causes,through the study of musical styles of his works in different periods,he explores the composer's musical styles and trends in different periods as well as through the individual artistic conception and political tendency As well as the living environment,including extrinsic reasons such as family,friends,public interest and money,as a starting point,to make an in-depth understanding of Strauss' s creative style retrograde.Finally,through the above analysis of Strauss' s historical status and the evaluation of musical styles,this article summarizes the causes of Strauss' s controversial musical retrograde style after 1909.Re-analyze Strauss' s musical style and historical status from three aspects.In my opinion,it is absolutely necessary to re-understand and evaluate Strauss and its musical compositions.He is not a stalled,self-defending conservative.His music is the ultimate beauty of tonal language,and in his works we realize that the value of art stems from the quality of the work itself.In the history of music in the 20 th century,Strauss should be left a striking position.
