The Effect Of Temperature On Trust Game From The Perspective Of Embodiment

Trust is a ubiquitous dependency relationship and is an important factor in the developing and maintaining the well-being and well-functioning human relationships.There are two important components of trust: one is trusting others,and the other is trustworthies.What factors affect trust? Recently,the emerging cognitive embodiment emphasizes the influence of the physical structure,sensory system,and movement system on people's cognitive processing.The research based on this perspective emphasizes the role of accidental factors in the environment.As one of the basic sensory experience of the human body,temperature sensation has been studied in a large number of research.It shows that the changes of physical temperature,contacting with cold or hot objects and even reading temperature terms can affect social cognition and processing related to human perception.However,previous studies have not been examined what kind of temperature under any circumstances will affect people's behavior,decision-making and perception.Therefore,this paper uses three mixed-factor experiments to explore the influence of temperature experience on trust game.Experiment 1 used a mixed experiment to explore the influence of temperature conditionality on the trust game in the winter environment for the verification experiment.Sixty college students from Sichuan Normal University were selected randomly as subjects with "warm" conditions(30,14 boys and 16 girls)and "cold" conditions(30 people,14 boys and 16 girls)played the two kinds of roles in the standard trust game respectively.The results show that in the winter environment,compared with the condition of cold personality,the subjects in warm personality have more trust behavior and confidence.Experiment 2 was added to examine the temperature comfort and explore the influence of temperature conditions on the trust game in the summer environment.A total of 59 college students from Sichuan Normal University were randomly selected to participate in the study.The students were divided into two groups: "hot" condition group(29,14 boys,15 girls)and "cool"(30 people,13 boys,17 girls),playing the trust game with trustor and trustee respectively.The results show that in the summer environment,subjects have more trust behavior and trust awareness under the condition of "coolness" compared with "hot" personality conditions.Experiment 3 examines the effect of temperature experiencing on the trust game.120 undergraduates in Sichuan Normal University were selected randomly as subjects,which were divided into four categories: unacceptable cold words(30,male 14,female 16),unsuitable hotwords(30,male 15,female 15),Suitable for warm words(30 people,13 boys,17 girls),suitable for cold words(30 people,14 boys,16 girls),then playing the trust game.The experimental results show that compared with unfit for temperature lexical conditions,the subjects under the condition of temperature lexical embodied have more trust behavior and trust perception.The results of the three experiments jointly show that there is no embodied effect on temperature to trust game,but the suitability of temperature experience has an impact on the trust game.
