Research On The Compositional Technique Of Toru Takemitsu's A String Around Autumn

As one of the most important composers of Japan in the 20 th century,Toru Takemitsu created many musical works throughout his life,involving a wide range of genres.Including a large number of orchestral music,stage music,chamber music,songs,film music,radio and television music.This paper takes the A string around autumn,a viola concerto in the late period of Toru Takemitsu's late-stage concerto,as its research object.In addition to analyzing the pitch,the orchestration and other elements of the work,it also introduces the composer's life style background,creation process,his unique personal aesthetic style and the influence of Japanese culture.The article consists of an introduction and three chapters.The first chapter briefly describes Toru Takemitsu's life background,his creative process,his personal aesthetic style,and the influence of Japanese culture.The article focuses on the second and third chapters,and focuses on the analysis of pitch organization,including the various chord structures in its longitudinal dimension,the core pitch material in the horizontal dimension,the development of motives,and the timbre of dreamy colors in its works.The epilogue elaborates on the influence of the band A string around autumn on my orchestral works Fields under the stars and the experience and experience of my own study of this work.
